  • Brief Description : The “Magic of Wood” artwork is taken from the magnificent and eternal work of “Guarantor of Deer” by Master Mahmoud Farshchian. The tableau is 203*143 cm, the production of which took more than 6 years. For the purpose of creating a particularly eye-catching work, the woods of various colors from thousands of trees were collected throughout the artist's journeys all over Iran and used in the artwork: a tableau with a combination of almost 150 species of trees in an unrivaled color variety in the form of over 80,000,000 pieces of wood chunks. The style, implementation method, cutting and combination of the woods are unique and invented by the artist himself, which are very different from the implementation methods prevalent in the wood carving art and the style made the extremely delicate and accurate carvings possible. However, creativity in the appealing and perfect use of the woods can be considered as the main and manifest feature of this artwork. This understanding of the language of wood, personification of the woods and the scrupulous precision in the accurate combination of the natural patterns of the woods in the work’s design, along with the really beautiful carvings of eye-catching delicacies that appear all throughout the work, has caused the work to go beyond a sheer and accurate implementation to provide a novel expression: An Expression in the Language of Wood.
