For creating the delicate and wavy forms of the angels’ hair, instead of the classic method and making various cutouts (that destroys the pattern and texture of the wood and reduces its endurance), the form and shape of the hairs were inlaid using a combination of the natural textures of Syrian mesquite plant in controlled directions. This unique style and method of implementation was also used in the creation of the feathers of the angels and some other parts of the work.

The yellow color of the angel’s clothes is peculiar and distinct from every other shades of yellow used in the work.

To create the clothes, a kind of wood had to be used that in addition to such peculiar color, had both bright and dark shades of the same color as well as a fine even texture resembling that of cloth.

In order to achieve this, a lot of woods and different species were examined. Finally, in a trip to the central desert of Iran, a pomegranate tree was found in Tabas district, which had all the required characteristics.
